Investment Structure:

Some owners prefer to sell a pari passu equity interest in their real estate holdings. Others favor a “preferred” equity infusion, enabling them to capture a larger economic interest in future upside by receiving a carried interest and limiting dollars at risk, in exchange for providing a “preferred return” and priority upon liquidation to Madison’s contributed capital.

In either example, the principal owner maintains control of the property or portfolio while unlocking embedded equity capital without an outright sale of the asset(s).
